9 & 10: Sleepless in the Saddle - 24 hour - Sennybridge Army Training Camp, Brecon Beacons (UK): 24hour MTB event for teams, pairs &solo riders. Includes night-time singlespeed time trial, bicycle drag racing, huge bicycle expo arena, childrens mini skills school and Sunday 100km road sportive starting from the arena and taking in stunning countryside and quiet lanes. 25: World Mountain Bike Bog Snorkelling Championships 2008: Llanwrtyd Wells, Wales (UK): This unique event takes place in a bog on the outskirts of Llanwrtyd Wells where a trench has been cut. Competitors have to cycle two lengths of the bog, approximately 90 metres, using snorkels and riding specially prepared mountain bikes which are supplied with the tyres filled with lead and water.
