This is a spectacular short
but sweet speed event run on a grass oval. It is very similar
to speedway, although the circuit is much longer and the speeds
reached much higher. There are normally between 8 and 12 riders
, in a race which lasts four laps. There are classes for schoolboys
through to expert solos and even sidecars. The bikes are extremely
specialised and only suitable for this type of event.
