MST3K interview!

The ice that Vic dies in is only wax over water made to look like ice. The Harvest loses a lot of points because of its copout ending. Trying to keep guests and newcomers from seeing the case to a movie whose title has usually already made them a reluctant viewer... That's a fun time. It slowly appears that Andy, the  boy with the open window policy played by Charlie Tahan, is the victim of Munchausen-by-proxy. I’ll be back next week, as a new story steps into the ring. He stabs Charlie in the foot, but Charlie shoots him again and he is killed.

The 1973 kidnap thriller “The Candy Snatchers” from Subversive Cinema is a movie that works best when the viewer knows little or nothing about the events to transpire. I looked at the casting of John Cusack and Billy Bob Thorton as spot-on. But that overprotective mother Katherine, played by Samantha Morton, is a scary, and very real, character in the vein of Robert Mitchum in Night of the Hunter. The Ice Harvest has some of the greatest dialogue and one-liners I have ever read. Afterwards, Charlie finds out that Rusti was working with Vic the whole time and were planning to possibly kill Charlie for the money. The Harvest sets itself up as a horror alternative, but cops out in the end. “Brothers” is a very close remake of a 2005 Danish film by Susanne Bier, which starred as the mother Connie Nielsen, that remarkable Danish actress equally at home in English (“Gladiator,” “The Ice Harvest”). Things begin to go sour when an enforcer for Charlie's boss comes looking for him and Vic. Spoilers. At first it looks like the tensions of any family dealing with an ongoing tragedy.

Welcome to the Internet home of The Masked Reviewer! Harold Ramis directs neo-noirish THE ICE HARVEST (2005). Bravo, Oliver. Well, good for him, but bad for other people. That's it.

It surprises me that the Coens would allow such a thing on their DVD, but maybe they weren't aware of it.

Design and text © 1996 - 2020 Jon Sandys. Not cool for those of us watching it for the first time. The DVD for “The Hudsucker Proxy” apparently follows the strategy of the advertising team for its theatrical release by absolutely ruining the best joke I know of – one that, in the film, takes over an hour to hit the punchline (about just what exactly Tim Robbins' idiotic "brilliant idea" is: “You know – for kids”).

However, upon showing "Temple of Doom" to my girlfriend last week, I realized that it was probably a terrible thing for her to see, considering she had never seen the film before. Now if it was that simply every character was a stock quasi-criminal type figure, they wouldn’t be enjoyable and they most definitely wouldn’t be unique. “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” (menu, packaging, disc label) Taking place over an icy, mid-western Christmas, attorneys, mobsters, and strippers comingle with deadly results after a bank robbery. To know when people like your submissions, answer your questions, reply to you, etc., please. Yes, 'The Ice Harvest' had all ingredients to be a very decent black Christmas movie. The spoiler is not only on the main menu page, but on the DVD case itself. Tim is 26 and is only just now starting college. The Harvest, directed by John McNaughton who made Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer and The Borrower, follows the worst case scenario to its inevitable conclusion.

Charlie's troubles are just beginning. The first problem is that a lot of the dialogue was changed. But there is something off about the movie. My friend Tyler insisted that I avoid watching this montage (it shows a main character shooting himself in the head, a major plot point in the film). “The Shawshank Redemption” (menu) The Harvest could almost be a Lifetime movie about a handicapped child with an overbearingly overprotective mother until then. The Harvest may not appeal to most horror fans, but it is a horror movie. The payoff to that was so horribly saccharine it was terrifying in itself. At the end, when Charlie is writing "As Wichita falls, so falls Wichita Falls" on the back of the RV, it shows him only making a couple strokes with his marker, only being able to write a few letters at most.

But his partner, a strip club owner, might have different plans for the cash. Ending / spoiler for The Ice Harvest (2005), plus mistakes, quotes, trivia and more. It is by far the most twisted Holiday movie I've seen (dark sh*t, real dark … Unreal. “The Miracle of Morgan’s Creek” (cover art) because I've seen the films countless times. “Suicide Kings” (menu) “Indiana Jones Trilogy” (menu) "Red Eye" (menu)

“The Bridge on the River Kwai” (cover art)

The Nic Cage Quiz! Charlie is an attorney for Wichita’s underbelly and after learning how the mob business works, he comes up with a plan to make his fortune. This shot of him could easily ruin the film for someone who hasn't seen it.

I saw all the twists coming a half hour before they hit, but I chalk this up to watching so many twisty pix that I pull them over me like a comforter.
