Charlo pops the jab out a couple times. To me, that swings the round to Charlo. Now, Serg is working that jab. Despite the fact Figueroa was a huge -5000 favorite, Vazquez was showing a great jab early on and landing more shots than Figueroa, the defending junior featherweight titlist. Serg works the body. You may opt-out by. But Serg lands a right to Charlo’s head. Though Charlo isn’t extremely accurate, he’s landing better shots (and more of them) than Serg. Man, the left eye of Serg looks bad, not sure if he can see well out of it. Obviously, that helps Charlo.
Call it a majority decision victory for Charlo. The judges have it 116-112, 117-111, 118-1110.
